Microneedling & Collagen Induction Therapy
-
Rejuvenate Your Skin, Reduce Scars, and Stimulate Hair Growth

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive, science-backed skin rejuvenation treatment that helps reduce fine lines, improve skin texture, restore radiance, and even stimulate hair growth to increase the amount of hairs and thicken them too. At our clinic, we use the trusted Dermapen World® system to deliver safe and effective results tailored to your needs.

Whether you're looking to reduce acne scars, fade hyperpigmentation, or refresh your complexion, microneedling is a proven way to support your skin’s natural renewal process—without surgery or downtime.

Key Benefits of Microneedling

Anti-aging treatment: Smooths out fine lines and wrinkles, softens rough skin texture, and firms sagging skin

Improved product absorption: Enhances the effects of your skincare by allowing deeper penetration

Skin pigmentation improvement: Supports treatment of melasma, sun spots, and uneven skin tone

Hair restoration: Encourages growth and thickness in areas affected by thinning hair or alopecia

Reduce acne scars and stretch marks: Minimizes the appearance of various types of scarring

Brighter, more radiant skin: Promotes a healthy glow by increasing circulation and cell turnover

Safe and minimally invasive: Requires no downtime and offers gradual, natural-looking results

Microneedling uses a pen-like device with fine needles (we use the certified Dermapen World® system) to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin.

These tiny punctures stimulate the body’s natural healing response, boosting the production of collagen and elastin—the two proteins responsible for keeping skin firm, smooth, and youthful.

This technique is clinically known as collagen induction therapy and is suitable for most skin types.

Microneedling for Hair Improvement

Microneedling isn't just for skin—it’s also a promising treatment for hair restoration. By creating microchannels in the scalp, the procedure improves blood flow and boosts the delivery of growth factors to hair follicles. When paired with serums or platelet-rich plasma (PRP), microneedling can help stimulate new hair growth and strengthen existing strands, especially in cases of:

Androgenetic alopecia (male or female pattern baldness)

Thinning hair due to aging or stress

Sparse beard growth or patchy hair on the scalp

Results vary by individual, but regular sessions can significantly improve hair density, scalp health, and overall vitality.

Potential Side Effects of Microneedling

Microneedling is generally well-tolerated, but you may experience some temporary side effects such as:

  • Redness and inflammation (resolves within 48 hours)
  • Mild peeling or dryness
  • Sensitivity to environmental elements
  • Slight itchiness or tingling sensation
  • A “tight” feeling or temporary dull appearance before skin renewal occurs

Proper aftercare with professional skincare products can minimize discomfort and support a smooth recovery.

Expected Results

Some clients notice a visible glow and smoother skin within a few days. More dramatic improvements—especially for scars and hair growth—can develop over several weeks as collagen builds up naturally.

Microneedling results often last for months, and multiple sessions may be recommended for long-term benefits.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is microneedling good for fine lines and wrinkles?                                                                                                                                             Yes. Microneedling boosts collagen production, which helps reduce fine lines and improves overall skin firmness.

Can microneedling help with acne scars?                                                                                                                                                 Absolutely. Microneedling is clinically shown to improve acne scars by smoothing skin texture and encouraging skin regeneration.

Does microneedling help with hair loss?                                                                                                                                                                   Yes. It can stimulate dormant hair follicles and improve scalp circulation, making it an effective option for thinning hair or mild alopecia.

Is there downtime after microneedling?                                                                                                                                                            Most people experience mild redness or sensitivity for 24–48 hours. You can resume normal activities shortly afterward with appropriate skincare.

How many sessions will I need?                                                                                                                                                                                It depends on your skin or hair goals. For general rejuvenation, 3–4 sessions may be enough. For scars or hair growth, a full course of 6–8 sessions may be recommended.

Is Profhilo® painful?

Let’s talk about it — honestly.

"Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid treatment that is injected into the deep dermis of the skin.

This layer tends to tolerate injections quite well.

That said, we still have to pass through the skin barrier with a needle, so yes — you will feel a little pinprick with each injection."

This is the general answer I found when I looked this question up online, the general consensus seems to be:

“It’s not really painful.”

And honestly? I don't fully agree. 😅

It's not nothing -                                                                                 We inject 5 sites per side of the face, so that's 10 injections total. When we treat other areas of the body, we might have to use more injections! The sensation is not exactly comfortable — you're definitely aware that something is happening. We're injecting a gel-based product under the skin, after all.

But here’s what I will say

The discomfort is short-lived, it is just a quick pinprick — and the results are completely worth it.

In my experience, that’s what makes the treatment so well tolerated: not that it’s painless, but that the outcome is so genuinely beneficial, rewarding, and satisfying.

So is it painful? A little.

But is it bearable? Absolutely.

Would I recommend it?            In a heartbeat.
